About the Job
As the Assistant General Manager (AGM), your role is to assist the General Manager (GM) to achieve the Company’s stated objectives in terms sales, operational standards, cost control, employee retention; health and hygiene standards. Additionally, to ensure overall restaurant’s operational requirements and to make sure an enjoyable guest experience whilst maintaining profitability throughout the guest’s experience. In the absence of the General Manager, you should take full ownership over the overall restaurant needs as well as ensuring every aspect of standards and procedures.
Promote, work, lead and act in consistent professional manner adjacent to the Company’s Vision and Mission
Motivate, discipline, direct the rest of the Head of Departments (HODs) while managing day-to- day operations of the restaurant
Coach, advise and assist the GM on developing the restaurant’s training programs to ensure a highest degree of employee professionalism
Sets an appropriate leadership example for all personnel
Ensures that all Government requirements as well as the Company safety and security policies are being updated adhered to
Ensure that all standard protocols are being followed and adhere in accordance with best practices (Policies and Procedures) necessary for successful and efficient operations
Assist the GM on ensuring that all employees have full and complete Food & Beverage knowledge
As an AGM, you will assist on making sure that regularly inspection or internal audit as in place from time to time in terms of food & beverage quality
Support on monthly one-to-one staff meetings or HOD coordination to establish and monitor targets and achievements while updating the performance appraisals accordingly
Prioritize and conduct daily roll plays or mock test and ensure employees consistently adheres to operational standards
Perform daily and weekly stock take monitoring stock usage in order to: minimize breakages.
Undergo any training for further assisting stock control issues and management at the restaurant.
To be responsible for the security of the restaurant premises and all stock, cash, wines, and spirits and to ensure that no items are issued without being entered into the Point of sales system.
Control operational expenditure and adhere to budgets in order to maximize profits.
Well engaged on employee training and development of each individual and monitor training delivery (service standards) constantly and consistently
Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by the GM/Executive Chef
Professionals with a true passion for Hospitality and excellent attention to detail
Previous experience in premium restaurant & cocktail lounge is essential
At least 2 years of experience on the same role
Extensive knowledge with Food & Beverage
Robust organizational, operational and leadership capabilities
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills (Written & Verbal)
Above and beyond skills on critical thinking and problem-solving
