• Ensure compliance to Data Management Policy and any relevant data governance aspects (e.g. policies, frameworks...etc) by empowering and supporting data stewards.
• Enable internal and external data sharing and enhance and report Department/Agency data quality.
• Use data to monitor service performance and customer service performance during normal and emergency operations on the Dubai Metro.
• Empowering section/Department to make data driven decisions and enabling agency to create new business opportunities, generate more revenue, predict future trends, optimize current operational efforts, produce actionable insights and report the benefits realization and utilization of data products with alignment to data management policy and align with strategic objective "become a data-driven mobility organization".
• Any additional responsibilities as advised by the direct Line Manager or Head of Department.
• Apply big data and data mining techniques, statistical analysis and build high quality prediction systems integrated with the groups Systems.
• Encourage and support the data driven organization culture within the Section/Department and support the agency whenever is required.
• Monitor and evaluate the level of Data delivered by the O&M contractor and recommend any requirement to the O&M contractor as per the contractual obligation.
• Identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments and develops and codes relevant programs, algorithms, and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources.
• Reviews the operations reports submitted by the operator and highlight areas of underperformance and provides viable suggestions for operational improvement to the direct supervisor.
• Benchmarking of the data capabilities to best known international markets and developing methods to streamline and enhance efficiency.
• Assure alignment with Digital Strategy and Big data roadmap and assure periodic meetings with Data Chief Specialist in the Rail agency. 

Knowledge, skills and experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/ Big data/ Data Science/ AI /Statistics / Mathematics/ Research /IT from a recognized university engineering.
