About the client
Our client is providing an advanced transport network for the people of Dubai. They have been high on the government’s agenda, which is evident from its initiatives to enhance the public transport facilities and improve roads across the emirate to make travel safer and smoother. Our client is responsible for planning and providing the requirements of transport, roads & traffic in the United Arab Emirates.
About the position
Manage, supervise, plan and monitor technology enterprise architecture practices on the level, in close collaboration with the digital strategy section and technology departments to implement technology roadmap in line with Dubai Government vision and direction, the business needs, and Dubai citizens and customer expectations.
Key results accountabilities
- Perform other responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate.
- Rolling a significant role in leading Technology Governance processes such as the Corporate Architecture.
- Review Team to ensure that selected technologies and designs are align with the plans and EA standards.
- Leads supplier selection, RfP tendering, and procurement of Enterprise Architecture consultancy engagements.
- Oversees and measures the fulfilment of suppliers’ contractual obligations during development stages. Uses key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and challenge supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintains a catalogue of Enterprise Architecture services and ensures that service delivery meets agreed service levels. Diagnoses service delivery problems and initiates actions to maintain or improve levels of service.
- Carries out risk assessment within the technology enterprise architecture, uses consistent processes for identifying potential risk events, quantifying and documenting the probability of occurrence and the impact and coordinates the development of countermeasures and contingency plans.
- Develops plans for review of technology systems and the use of standards and the effectiveness of technology process controls and recommends improvements.
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Results-driven achiever with exemplary planning and organizational skills, along with a high degree of detail orientation.
- Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects.
- Innovative problem-solver who can generate workable solutions and resolve complaints.
- Ability to initiate and direct strategy and enterprise architecture initiatives and roadmaps in support of strategic and operational goals.
- Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes.
- Knowledge in strategy practices such as Balance Score Card (BSC), PESTEL, SWOT, enterprise architecture standards such as TOGAF, and Project / Portfolio management practices.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a senior enterprise architecture, or key role in an enterprise architecture function.
- Goal-driven leader who maintains a productive climate and confidently motivates, mobilizes, and coaches’ employees to meet high performance standards.
- Excellent enterprise architecture, strategy and project governance skills to develop and direct consultants and enterprise architects.
- Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
- Resourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Computer-literate performer with extensive software proficiency covering wide variety of applications.
