Our client

Our client is providing an advanced transport network for the people of Dubai. They have been high on the government’s agenda, which is evident from its initiatives to enhance the public transport facilities and improve roads across the emirate to make travel safer and smoother. Our client is responsible for planning and providing the requirements of transport, roads & traffic in the United Arab Emirates.

 

Job Purpose

Review and supervise the implementation of maintenance activities, standards, and procedures. Audit maintenance plans. and different applications of maintenance concepts to ensure the optimization of equipment, machinery, procedures and processes., provide support, to achieve highest standards of maintainability, reliability, quality and availability of Assets.

 

Key Results Accountabilities

  • Supervise the implementation of maintenance strategy, maintenance plans and inspection policies and procedures for all related assets
  • Review and study contracts (outsourcing and service) and advise regarding the contract terms and service level agreements SLAs for both maintenance and inspection
  • Review and monitor the internal audit reports and corrective plans/ actions related to maintenance and inspection activities and issue analytical reports to support the Higher management decisions.
  • Monitor the implementation of maintenance and inspection related risks management mitigation plans and analyze the findings.
  • Oversee the implementation of maintenance and inspection HSE management plan.
  • Conduct training sessions for special topics related to transport technologies, maintenance, asset inspection and risk management to engineers and technical staff.
  • Review failure mode reports related maintenance activities and issue governance reports on the findings to higher management.
  • Review and provide recommendations regarding progress reports, operational KPIs and any other related issues as per the operational plan.
  • Review the implementation of the maintenance departments operation plans and suggest improvement actions.
  • Explore opportunities and technologies associated with maintenance and inspections techniques and methods and recommend best practices.
  • Supervise practical trials and tests on sustainable transport, and report the results and lessons learned to the higher management.
  • Oversee the implementation of circular economy activities across Maintenance departments and report the findings to the higher management.
  • Supervise the KPI’s formulas, targets, inline with global maintenance index.
  • Review inspection activities and systems and suggest integrated approach and KPI’s on the corporate level.
  • Provide recommendations regarding annual maintenance budget to insure the optimal utilization of maintenance cost.

  • Review and provide recommendations regarding technical studies done by maintenance departments to improve their operations and performance results.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities associated with the position.

  • All jobs assigned to the incumbent will be closely overseen by the Director.
  • Has no rights to take decision by his/her own proposal without instruction given by his/her supervision.
  • Provide professional guidance and advice to the director

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Masters’ in Engineering: Industrial, Mechanical, or Electromechanical from a recognized University.
  • Masters’ with 9 years of working experience
  • Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes.
  • Computer-literate performer with extensive software proficiency covering wide variety of applications.
  • Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
  • Resourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects.
