Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Focus on customer, quality performance excellence and team productivity.
  • Responsible for the capacity and procurement strategy.
  • Set up the capacity planning (allotments, BSA, consolidation share) based on the carrier strategy, the trade lane plans and guidelines aligned with sales and the rest of the key stations within the network.
  • Responsible for Capacity Management and Optimization.
  • Ad-hoc capacity buy, in order to optimize cost of sale.
  • Develop, drive and monitor corrective actions in case of deviations of actual Air Freight Product performance against plan.
  • Decide on spot rates for new business opportunities.
  • Ensure up-to-date and confirmed selling rates in the central rate repository.
  • Set KPI and incentive framework to be applied in the Country or business unit for specific SLAs with carriers, in alignment with the Global Head of Trade lane Management & Procurement Air Freight.
  • Maintain and cultivate local relationships with carriers for both Air & Ocean.
  • Strong local road freight subcontractors setup and relationship.
  • Execute sales strategy jointly with Marketing & Sales to fulfill given growth targets.
  • Support Marketing & Sales in creation of Target Lists and in Pricing Issues

 

Main Skills & Competencies:

  • Good planning skills, ability to translate strategy to operational plan and execute it.
  • Proven track record in People management and Leadership Skills (knowledgeable in Recruitment Selection/Training/Development/Coaching/Conflict Management/Performance Management).
  • Good communication skills (open and confidential communication style).
  • Solid know-how in change management and innovation (analytical, systematic, creative, inventive).
  • Strong decision-making capabilities and high accountability.
  • High result orientation and customer focus.
  • Ability to integrate and coordinate efforts/resources across functions and boundaries.
  • Management and organisational skills (prioritize, plan, assign, delegate, control).
  • High ethics and Act as a role model for Corporate Values and Culture.

 

Qualifications:

  • Responsible for managing operations for Ocean, Air, Land and customs clearance E2E.
  • Business development and customer centric mindset.
  • Experience General E2E freight forward operational process design and management.
  • At least 10+ years of local experience in Logistics E2E with a focus on freight forwarding; preferable in multinational global or regional organizations.
  • University degree.
  • Fluent in both English and Arabic
