About the position:

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Head of technology to join their company. As the Head of Technology, you will lead their technology strategy, drive innovation, and oversee the development and implementation of cutting-edge solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, hands-on experience as a developer, and extensive corporate and startup experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a visionary leader who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about leveraging technology to drive business growth.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the company's technology roadmap, aligning it with the overall business strategy and goals.
  • Lead and manage the technology team, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Drive the development and implementation of scalable and efficient software solutions, ensuring high quality, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and assess their potential impact on the company's products and services.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology investments, including software, hardware, infrastructure, and third-party partnerships.
  • Manage and optimize the company's technology budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions that deliver business value.
  • Oversee the development and enforcement of technology standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and agility, encouraging the team to explore new ideas and approaches.
  • Stay informed about intellectual property rights and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to articulate and communicate the company's technology strategy and vision to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5 to 10 years of combined experience in corporate and startup environments, with a proven track record of success in technology leadership roles.
  • Extensive hands-on experience as a developer, with proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and scaling technology solutions in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage technical teams, fostering collaboration and driving results.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align technology initiatives with business goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in evaluating and implementing emerging technologies, such as cloud computing, AI, machine learning, or blockchain.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the technology field.
