About the position:
When first meeting a new client, an event manager asks questions to learn about the purpose and type of event. They find out what ideas the client already has regarding food, entertainment, and decor and work with them to create a budget. Depending on the client’s needs and what your facility offers, they then recommend outside vendors and suppliers or in-house services and help clients choose the best options.
Event Managers remain in contact with the in-house team or outside vendors and coordinate activities to ensure the success of the event. During events, event managers are typically on-site to act as supervisors, handle client requests, and address issues that arise.
