Our client

Our client is providing an advanced transport network for the people of Dubai. They have been high on the government’s agenda, which is evident from its initiatives to enhance the public transport facilities and improve roads across the emirate to make travel safer and smoother. Our client is responsible for planning and providing the requirements of transport, roads & traffic in the United Arab Emirates.

 

Job Purpose

Provide a specialized and strategic support to the Manager of the Digital Services Planning and Design section in all section related areas, and particularly in planning and monitoring the implementation of services related to artificial intelligence that fall within the tasks and responsibilities of the section, which supports the technical vision of the Dubai government, and ensures the sustainability and development of the strategic capabilities of the section’s services and leading directions in the field of digital services to support the needs of clients internal and external customers in the agencies/sectors based on international best practices and standards of excellence in agile and proactive ways.

 

Key Results Accountabilities

  • Support Section Manager in preparing annual budgets for all AI projects and initiatives that related to artificial intelligence includes increasing the benefits of using AI technologies.
  • Contribute to suppliers’ selection, RFP tendering, and procurement of artificial intelligence related systems and services.
  • Support increasing awareness of artificial intelligence concepts and practices in client through training sessions, various activities, in collaboration with other relevant departments.
  • Supervise the implementation of all projects related to artificial intelligence to ensure their compatibility and increase the return on investment in them by managing all projects under a single program.
  • Support executing and implementing of digital services planning and designs specifically those which related to artificial Intelligence strategy in alignment with client Digital Strategy to elevate client in artificial intelligence practices.
  • Establishes and maintains initiatives and assist in all phases of artificial Intelligence programs and projects, propose artificial intelligence technology solutions in areas such as customer engagement, employees empowering, operations optimization, and service innovation using machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and robotics, and conduct research and choose appropriate methodologies to use artificial intelligence in solving transportation problems.
  • Develop and ensure a sustainable client Enterprise Artificial Intelligence Platform and which is among the tasks of the section.
  • Develop and periodically review standards, policies, procedures, and processes of the section that related to artificial intelligence and carry out compliance reviews of client agencies and sectors with artificial intelligence standards, policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Enable the role of artificial intelligence by identifying projects and initiatives that can create unique value in making well-informed decisions, improving results, increasing competitiveness, and improving the overall organization efficiency.
  • Identify the artificial intelligence needs of agencies and sectors and identify the required projects that must be implemented and identify the scope, timelines, and estimated budgets.
  • Evaluate the artificial intelligence rapid prototypes and proof of concepts (PoC’s) in coordination with business owners to demonstrate the value of artificial intelligence and how artificial intelligence addresses requirements.
  • Innovate in artificial intelligence to create capabilities in areas such as customer engagement, employees empowering, operations optimization, and service innovation using machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and robotics.
  • Perform any other responsibilities related to position when appropriate.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Artificial Intelligence, with minimum 6 years of working experience from a recognized university, Or Bachelor’s degree in similar specifications with minimum 8 years of working Experience.

  • Excellent understanding and work experience with multiple artificial intelligence’s techniques such as supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, artificial neural networks, reinforcement learning, Naïve Bayes, or genetic algorithms, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more artificial intelligence’s frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow, Theano, Caffe, Caffe2, DL4J, Keras, or Scikit-learn, etc.
  • Resourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Excellent understanding and work experience with artificial intelligence’s technologies including machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and robotics.
  • Ability to initiate and direct artificial intelligence projects in support of strategic and operational goals.
  • Excellent experience of one or more programming languages to work with artificial intelligence frameworks such as Python, Java, Scala, R, or C++, etc.
  • Experience handling large scale structured and non-structured data.
