Our client is providing an advanced transport network for the people of Dubai. They have been high on the government’s agenda, which is evident from its initiatives to enhance the public transport facilities and improve roads across the emirate to make travel safer and smoother. Our client is responsible for planning and providing the requirements of transport, roads & traffic in the United Arab Emirates.

Job Purpose

To provide client higher management with technical support & advice in the areas of future mobility and transport, in relation to external factors like economics, social, political etc.

Key Results Accountabilities

• Assist in developing tools related to the future of mobility and transport.
• Participate in conducting technical studies related to the section.
• Work with statistics section and EC3 to analyse data and help forecast the future of transport as relevant.
• Ensure the proper implementation of action plan to implement the approved recommendations / projects related to the future of mobility.
• Provide required progress reports on different projects/tasks as assigned.
• Participate in different teams as directed by the section manager and higher management.
• Provide reports as instructed as well as initiate reports supporting the job.
• Preform other responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate.
• Provide technical advice and suggest suitable recommendations to the higher management on how to shape the future of mobility that is suitable for Dubai.
• Analyse global and local trends, identify their impact on the future of mobility in Dubai and provide suitable recommendations.
• Conduct strategic & technical studies for the future of mobility in relation to all transport related factors such as developments, as well as external factors like social, economic & political.
• Participate in client strategy in relation to the future of mobility.
• Lead future forecasting and scenario planning for the future of mobility.
• Suggest ideas, projects, initiatives, etc, that are related to the future of transport, from internal, external and global sources.
• Assist in developing framework for the future of mobility in Dubai.
• Assist in developing, reviewing and updating of policies & procedures for the future mobility and public transport in line with the latest international trends and local trends.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Master degree in future studies, or transportation from a recognized university.
• 10 years of relevant working experience in a similar post in a large and active service organization, or prefer with the governments or parliaments.
• Goal-driven leader who maintains a productive climate and confidently motivates, mobilizes, and coaches employees to meet high performance standards.
• Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
• Resourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes.
• Computer-literate performer with extensive software proficiency covering wide variety of applications.
