About the position:

As their new Ship Broker, you are a passionate, organized, and team-oriented individual committed to pursuing a rewarding career in the maritime industry from our Dubai office. Our client is looking for inspired individuals to work with Dry Bulk teams and interface with a multinational client base, as well as help push the boundaries of competitive ship brokerage.

Functional responsibilities:

• Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, including commodity traders, charterers, and shipowners.
• Researching market trends and analysing supply and demand dynamics to identify potential trading opportunities.
• Set up and negotiate deals, including presenting the business to potential clients, negotiating the main terms of a contract or sale and seeing it through to its conclusion, and completion any follow-up that may be involved.
• Providing market intelligence and analysis to clients, keeping them informed about relevant industry developments.
• Keeping up to date with industry regulations and compliance requirements.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation of transactions.
• Travel and attend frequent meetings/events where required.
• Additional duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
