They have been high on the government’s agenda, which is evident from its initiatives to enhance the public transport facilities and improve roads across the emirate to make travel safer and smoother. Our client is responsible for planning and providing the requirements of transport, roads & traffic in the United Arab Emirates.

Job Purpose

To effectively participate in management of strategic transportation tasks, supporting the creation of integrated plans and policies for Dubai Emirate, and management of projects portfolio including the study, categorization and evaluation of proposed projects.

Key Results Accountabilities

• Update approach, criteria, and weights for evaluating projects based on internal and external relevant factors
• Utilize the appropriate programs and tools to evaluate the impact of transport policies on the efficiency and integration of transport system
• Update of short, medium and long term plans.
• Preparation of projects budget
• Evaluation, selection & prioritization of projects
• Carry out the all portfolio-related activities within the department including coordination with relevant stakeholder in different departments to collect needed information and data in addition to undertaking the following activities processes in different phases of Project Portfolio Management:
• Participate in strategic planning studies and in technical studies for roads and transport and other tasks assigned to Strategic Planning Department
• Participate in the planning of an integrated and efficient multi-modal transport system for Dubai.
• Review and creation of reports including: Review projects’ prioritization scoring outcomes, review projects’ KPIs, review projects’ priority and risks.
• Analyse internal policies that relate to project budgeting and take them into consideration upon project and budget prioritization
• Update all portfolio related templates, manuals and portfolio evaluation scoring criteria periodically or upon need
• Identification & categorization of projects

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Transportation and Road Engineering from a reputable university. PMP certificate is a preference
