Job Purpose
As a new Trainee Ship Broker, you are a passionate, organized, and team-oriented individual committed to pursuing a rewarding career in international shipping from our Dubai office. Our client is looking for inspired individuals to work with the Petrochemical and Chemical Gas teams and interface with a multinational client base, as well as help push the boundaries of competitive ship brokerage.
Applicants should be entrepreneurial self-starters eager to learn and grow in a sales and marketing role. This position offers opportunities to travel, entertain, and build relationships within the industry. While technical expertise in the maritime industry is beneficial, it is not essential; transferrable skills and demonstrated dedication are prioritized. Versatility will enable the ideal candidate to integrate within a high-performing team and the wider organization during an exciting time for the business and the region.
Key Results Accountabilities
- Data management and support to brokers.
- Administrative support.
- Researching and generating profitable new business streams.
- Build up a database of contacts and keep a close eye on the shipping market, interpreting trends and seeing opportunities for clients.
- Playing an active role in the company and adding to the strategic expansion of the business.
