They’ve establish an academy that works hand in hand with their extended network of partners worldwide to ensure that their professional experiences are streamlined and they feel confident to facilitate an incorporation, wherever they are in the world or what may be unfolding around them. They help individuals and organizations develop effective and knowledgeable members of UAE Free Zones, measure and improve performance with innovative assessment tools and training materials and identify and remedy competency gaps.


About the Job

The role of Academy Director involves the formulation and implementation of the strategic plan for the Academy along with providing day to day leadership to all Academy staff. Responsible for shaping the effectiveness and future direction of the Academy, this position requires the candidate to identify training needs and design and deliver training programs. In addition, the Academy Director will be responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of training and the ongoing development of all staff and professional partners


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a clear vision and supporting strategy for the Academy in line with the strategy and philosophy of the company.
  • Implement, update and enforce an operational / performance plan to deliver the strategic objectives of the Academy
  • Deliver all activity within agreed budgets
  • In collaboration with the Academy team, design and deliver training programs to meet the needs professional partners
  • Reporting on all Academy deliverables
  • Lead on recruitment for all Academy staff
  • Manage all Academy staff ensuring they understand what is required of them and can effectively achieve their goals
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals and team meetings to address human capital opportunities and manage underperformance
  • Ensure all Academy staff have up to date qualifications and deploy a wide variety of training methodologies
  • Monitor staff capabilities, competencies and progression to identify learning pathways and contribute to recommends for career advancement or position adjustment
  • Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with the staff
  • Monitor and evaluate training program effectiveness, success and ROI through the use of various qualitative and quantitative assessment metrics
  • Ensure the Academy complies with all relevant rules and regulations of applicable governing bodies

Ideal Candidate

  • Must hold a BA or higher in Education or related field OR extensive experience in educational administration/training management
  • Has a proven managerial or senior administrative experience in the education/training sector
  • Must have track record in designing and executing successful training programs
  • Must be knowledgeable with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc)
  • Must exude team leadership, and aspires to help and develop other people
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
