About the company:


Our Client is a 406-bedded teaching hospital, accredited by JCIA and CBHAI. Presently there are centers of excellence in women's health, pediatric and adolescent health, including a Child Development Center specializing in autism and attention disorders. There is also provision of integrated services in internal medicine, psychiatry, orthopedic, urology, colorectal, breast, bariatric, plastic and endocrine surgery, orchidology, ophthalmology, dental and maxillofacial surgery.


About the Job:


Exercise the highest possible standard of patient care according to his/her clinical privileges and available resources. Contributes to the teaching and training activities of the Pediatrics Department. Works towards completing his professional training in Pediatrics including diagnostics and therapeutic intervention.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assisting Consultants in their clinical work by providing patient care at their level in accordance with the delineated scope of services and granted privileges.
  • Practicing patient care in accordance with up to date best practices and based on scientific evidence under the supervision of the consultant. 
  • Abiding quality improvement initiatives and practices and ensuring a safe healing environment for the patients (this includes compliance with hospital accreditation requirements).
  • Empowering patients and their families to become active partners in their health and wellness, and contributing to an excellent patient experience. 
  • Expressing stewardship through having a high sense of accountability, appropriate utilization of resources, and focusing on efficient patient care processes. 
  • Supervising the work of residents under their responsibility, in addition to contributing to their professional development and providing feedback on their performance evaluations.
  • Provide clear understandable information to patients that related to health and case.


Requirements:


  • Graduation from a medical school recognized by SCHS.
  • Certification by the appropriate specialty recognized by the SCHS.
  • Current SCHS registration/license OR candidate must meet SCHS criteria for registrar classification in the specialty within one year of colocation.
