Our client is a center for special needs established in 2013, they provide child-centered and evidence-based early detection and intervention for children with developmental delays.

 

Responsibilities:


  • Identify clients' developmental speech and communication difficulties and or disorders. 
  • Able to administer various SLP formal assessments and dynamic assessment procedures. 
  • Devise, implement and revise relevant treatment programs.
  • Work with clients, consultants, staff, families and community to implement child’s treatment plan. 
  • Effectively responds to and manages crisis situations. 
  • Openly flexible and responsible in working with multiple students at one time, when necessary.
  • Meet with prospective clients and orientate them to the department, staff, assessment and treatment procedures and address any other concerns.
  • Provide consultative support to other clinical programs outside of allocated Speech Therapy sessions times. 
  • Develop, review and implement department specific policies and procedures such as: assessment policy and procedure, referral policy and procedure.
  • Liaise between Management and SLP Department to ensure smooth flow of communication at all times. 
  • Train and advise therapists on implementing treatment methods and programs.



Requirements:


  • BA degree in Speech & Language Pathology is a must, Masters is a plus
  • Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT) training
  • OPT (talk tools) training
  • Feeding training/SOS 
  • Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ACC)
  • Experience working in an early intervention program (EIP)
  • Fluent in English, native English speaker is a plus
  • A minimum of 5 years experience working as an SLP therapist (pediatric settings)
  • Working in an Multidisciplinary team is a must
  • Friendly, energetic, creative, motivated, and can work independently.
